    SC245 1957/2008 bridge

Absolutely. Nothing against them 8s, but they're too light. I'll probably stick some 10s on that babe. 11s would be fine too, it's a fast scale

Thanks, Alan! You mean 245, right? The only 247 I found was a seven-string SE. So it's not a McCarty, ok. I probably saw a wrong ad or something. But yes, I knew it was a limited run, which makes it an even bigger thrill to get it.

Oh, one more thing (please forgive my ignorance)... is the SC245 a McCarty? I didn't think there was a McCarty SC

    SC245 1957/2008 bridge

Good news. I texted the seller and he texted me back saying he kept the original piece. Whew!! He said he thought the Graph Tech provided for better intonation and offered to send me both. Just a nice, sensible guy. Thank you guys for your input, and I guess you can welcome me into the...

    SC245 1957/2008 bridge

I haven't talked to him about the original saddles, but I don't think he still has them. I wouldn't have touched the bridge unless I was breaking strings like crazy, which I never did. I hope you're yucking the saddles because of their look. I don't like the look of them in that guitar myself...

    SC245 1957/2008 bridge

Hi! I'm new around here. I've been a guitar player for about 30 years and I'm -- hopefully -- about to get my first PRS, a dream come true to me. The guitar in question is a gorgeous charcoal burst SC 245 1957/2008 I've been offered. Its bridge, however, has just stricken me as sort of...
