I am obsessed with HBIIs. I currently have a Artist 2012 and a new AP in production. I have owned some standard HBIIs as well. The SC HBII tends have a little more Midrange to them due to the slightly larger Body. I am a big fan of the Standard HBIIs but both are amazing guitars.

So these guitars have been popping up here and there. Dave's have the vast Majority of these and I have got a lot of questions about them. Basically they were guitars that were on lock down due to legal issues with the wood distributor in 2007. They got clearance to sell them this year and...

Appears to just be a Early 2000 Hollowbody II 10-Top. They are amazing guitars! I love them. Have a FBJ Quilt Artist Pack i love and another Artist Pack HBII in production.

Those Look Right. They did Paua inlays on a lot of these. Here is a couple photos of a Similar one. Same Bird Inlays. The Finish in your picture looks a tad bit strange (Orange Peelish) but thats probably just due to the poor resolution of the photo.

Rosewood, Brazilian Rosewood It definitely appears to be Brazilian. The birds and Board would also jive with what they were doing with 2007 AP guitars. The quickest, but not fool proof, ways to tell are Color and Grain Tightness and Pore Size. Brazilian tends to have a Brownish/Red Hue and have...

They haven't done one yet, but as a Hollowbody lover i would have to say i would love this. There is something about the little bit of fight that the 25" gives you that is nice, but it would be a nice "Something Different" to add to my HBs.
