MA Pete Can you elaborate on your experience with the maple necks? I love the look of those necks but I like a thick dark tone. My guess is I should go for a mahogany neck

Has anybody tried a 594 with a maple neck? Given that maple is brighter sounding than mahogany my guess is that a 594 with a maple neck will sound brighter-right? I know there tons of variables but my logic seems plausible. Hope someone can chime in who has tried a 594 with a maple neck. Thanks

I hope so. That's really what I am trying to find out. There isn't a lot of info on whether they are potted or not normally. Based on what I found it appears potting is the normal. Should be interesting

Got them in the mail today. It said "no Wax" on the label. Just curious-I am going to have to pull one out of one of my DGT's

Do the DGT pickups have wax in them? Just bought a set off ebay that don't have wax. Going to put them in a 245. I think it will be a nice combination. Thanks
