Do the DGT pickups have wax in them? Just bought a set off ebay that don't have wax. Going to put them in a 245. I think it will be a nice combination. Thanks

Based on the radio stations I can pick up at my house through the DGT (not the other guitars, but 3 DGT's have all done it) I'd guess that they have very little (if any) wax.

Just guessing, though.

Got them in the mail today. It said "no Wax" on the label. Just curious-I am going to have to pull one out of one of my DGT's

So the one's you got in the mail are a special unpotted set then?

I hope so. That's really what I am trying to find out. There isn't a lot of info on whether they are potted or not normally. Based on what I found it appears potting is the normal. Should be interesting

Mine have wax. They were delivered to my mailbox in July during a sunny 115 degree day. I opened the package and some of the wax had melted out of the pickups. They still sound fantastic.

They do special order stuff, for example my DGT pickups are wired to work with the rotary switch instead of the typical braid with white split wire. So, it would seem reasonable they would be able to do a no-wax set if that what someone wanted.
