I have a '93 CE24 and put in Hipshot locking tuners. Drop-in with no drilling or screws with the universal mounting plate.

I had a similar issue on my PRS CE and told Hipshot about it. They sent me 6 really thin washers which helped a lot.

Yes! I have Hipshots on my '93 CE and my American Standard Strat. They are awesome. Going to try out the TonePros locking Klusons on my Marsden just to keep the classic look. Good news is that the TP's are butterscotch that matches the body and neck binding instead of that weird green.

Yeah it looks like the locking Gotoh's preserve the classic look on the front, and the locking TonePros preserve the classic look on the back!

I prefer locking tuners.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the small group really made it special - we were able to ask him anything we wanted. There were only a few hours notice that it was going to happen - the only way I found out about it was that I was on the mailing list of my local shop.
