    New tuning buttons

My crystal ball tells me: In 2028, Paul releases a video and shows us his 1978 drawings of his original vision: a headless monstrosity with the tagline, "headstocks wreak havoc on your midrange".

    New tuning buttons

It does beg the question . . . maybe it just wasn't possible to fashion them without today's advances in manufacturing!

    New tuning buttons

But in terms of the 24-08, are these now the identical pickups that are in the Paul's? They used to be different, didn't they? Still with some TCI pixie dust, but not labeled as just TCI.

    New tuning buttons

Thanks for the confirmation -- still like the old buttons, but that never would sway me really. And kudos to Paul for going back to his original design that (at least) he likes.

    New tuning buttons

Well, I'm not a fan. I love the Phase III locking tuners: both the form and function. The buttons and the open back, the locking mechanism, everything. The new ones seem inferior in every way to me. While I don't think Paul is being disingenuous, the implication that our current guitars may...

    Nick in Nitro

As a once-defender of the Mono Vertigo, I have to agree it comes with some hazards. If you rush to put in your guitar without being completely unzipped, you can get a nick like shown here. This is a '22 Paul's Black Gold Burst in High Gloss Nitro. But to the point . . . I'm not going to...

John Mann's Guitar Vault 12th Annual Children's Charity Raffle

I saw "John Mann's Guitar Vault 12th Annual Children's Charity Raffle" in my email without looking at the sender and thought . . . oh, never mind what I thought.

    Guitars: Toys or tools?

I have to go with "tools". I'm strictly an amateur, so it isn't my "trade", but I look to the guitar to create something (live or recorded) and don't feel like they are toys. I think I never did, but certainly my perspective on possessions has shifted over the years. Perhaps I also have an...

    Picks

I just got a Bluechip TD40. I love it. Certainly sounds great, and I love the grippiness of it. I was using Dunlop Flow 1.0, and definitely prefer the grip of the TD40.

New SSH came with Repair from Factory

I wouldn't care about it; no judgement on those who would (or do).

You are definitely out of order.
