You're awesome thanks. I went with a basic three way set up to keep it basic and the wiring threw me for a loop. I already have a Silver Sky, so I wasn't really worried about split tones in this guitar. Maybe in the future though, so if you have a wiring diagram for that setup, that would be...
Awesome thanks. So in this case for example, a basic full humbucker mode on the neck:
Green/white-Soldered together and unused
Red and bare shielding - Grounded
Cloth wire - Hot
I am also bad at figuring out wiring so I could be completely wrong.
Ill dig through it further, but I read through there before posting here. I saw the TCI 5 wire color scheme posted with the orange wire, but I do not have that style.
PRS pickup wiring question. Bought a set of 58/15 LT TCI pickups and the wiring is different than I’ve seen before. Does anyone know the color coding for the wires? Each one has a bare braided sleeve, with a black cloth cable inside. Treble has Red/Green/Black and Bass has White/Green/Red

I'm picking up my 2016 CE24 tomorrow, and I'm extremely excited! Originally I was going to buy a Holcomb SE, but I fell in love with the CE. I already bought it because I knew it was the guitar for me, and I haven't even plugged it in to play it lol. With the right guitar, especially a PRS, you...
At this point I am set on the SD Custom in the bridge. It will handle all the heavier rock easily. Im just undecided on the neck. It is between the SD Seths, 59, Pearly gates, or possibly a jazz. Theres just a lot of contradicting info on how they react with semi hollows and getting too muddy. I...
Those look nice and the sound clips are good, but that's more than I want to spend on the pickups. I've already spent a good amount on the other mods as well as a few pedals so I have to draw the line somewhere lol.
Hey guys,
I am in the process of upgrading my SE Zach Myers (Mahogany body and neck, maple top, rosewood fretboard and semi-hollow). I love this guitar, It's great stock and I have it signed by Zach and Brent Smith at this point, but I am having some fun getting the most out of it. I have my...
Sounds great! I'd love to read your review on it. Also an archon is my dream amp, one day I'll buy one.
I've got a local custom guitar shop that I've heard great things about, and I want to check them out. Never hurts to have a trusted guitar tech, so I figured I'd have them do a complete set...
Yea I meant the vb/hfs combo. And the pickups sound great, but coming from a jb in my other guitars bridge, this ones not as articulate with the high gain so I was hoping the hfs would have some better definition at very high gain.
And I didn't like the spalted maple in pictures, but that look...

Heres the guitar, ill add a few more photos when i do a review post on the guitar in a few days. I personally feel like a got a really nice one. Ive seen a few with some crazy wood patterns that almost look private stock, but im really happy with how deep of a flame pattern this...
Thanks for all the constructive response already! And yes I plan on keeping it the way it is, beside maybe a PRS USA nut for a while. I'm an electronics guy so swapping out pickups and stuff is quite easy so I usually do that. I'm not interested in putting anything non PRS on this guitar. I was...
Hey guys, I'm very excited about joining this forum. I just got my first PRS yesterday. It is a SE Zach Myers. I've loved PRS for years, and everything it stands for. I think Paul is a guy that really openly translates his passion for instrument building. I've watched tons of his videos on the...
