Any of the Neural DSP stuff comes with 2 week free trails. And if you keep your eye out they occasionally drop 50% off sales. I have been really impressed with them so far.
I would think maybe a fun DIY project for the garage. Or one of those ready made kits. Would be hard pressed to see a PRS that way as they have spent decades making (subjectively)the most beautiful guitars available. Their high 2nd hand pricing and how quickly they sell are a testimony to that...

Thanks a bunch guys. Just recieved a new amp to go along with it thanks to @SinSir and a great deal. It's not a prs amp but it sounds damn fine with my new baby.
I fear this is true. The PRS makes #8 in the collection with #9 being finished built in a couple weeks. Variety is the spice of life but maybe another one sometime wouldn't hurt. Trying to get to that magic number where my wife no longer notices .
That's my plan tonight with a new set of strings. The guy I bought from was in NJ as well hence the question. They actually seem pretty straightforward to use once you look at them.
