I'm also on this quest. Didn't reallly like the neck pickup. The bridge is ok, bu well... I'm thinking about the SD Jazz for the neck and A2Pro for the bridge.

Thanks guys. Yes, it is a great instrument for what you pay for. CoreyT, Santo Angelo makes some ok cables. There is also one brazilian company that is making some excellent cables: Tecniforte. They are top notch, great quality.
