Yeah I ended up moving the McCarty along. Got what I paid for it which was nice. Replaced it with a used Core Starla. Definitely an improvement tone-wise while keeping the same neck carve. Not keeping the axe though so if you know anybody looking… ;)

Yeah, I’m excited about it. I’ve long wanted to buy someone’s modded guitar or warmoth build, because people put a lot of time, thought, and money into those builds but can never recoup their costs. Wonder how I know that… lol

If it's wide/fat then that would be great news. Wide/thin is good for some things but it's not quite as all-purpose as the wide/fat and pattern vintages for my hands. Ought to get my caliper out and check actuals. It's a cool guitar! I pretty much paid for the mods and got the guitar for free, lol

I don't know! I do like the extra width on the Wide Thin/Fat and Pattern Vintage profiles. I'm sure the Regular profile would be fine. Just being picky about wanting that extra fatness AND extra width :)

Which of the SE or S2 models as articulate, hi-fi, and rock-leaning as the Custom 24? Seems like the rock ones generally come with thin necks... Mira, Tremonti, Holcomb... whereas the more vintage ones come with thick necks... Santana, Starla, McCarty. Really what I'm looking for is 25" scale...

What would the closest guitar be to the Custom 24 but with a fat neck? I love the articulation of the Custom 24… it’s like it reads my mind… but a thicker neck would be cool sometimes. Would another PRS model do this? Or would I be looking at putting 85/15 pickups in a Santana/McCarty/Starla etc
