Tone knob falling off

So a month ago i bought my first guitar (a prs se custom 24)
but a couple of days ago my tone knob fell off... i pushed it back in and it works fine until you try to coil split it,
What should i do?

What should i do?

Is it loose? If yes, open up the gap between the splined part of the shaft (carefully), a small amount goes a long way. That should make the knob fit snugly on the shaft and stop it from falling off.

A small wrap of plumbers tape over the shaft splines will help it as well
