Hope it goes well.
I got to meet Michael McKean about a year ago, when I was playing a fundraiser show in LA at the Wilshire Ebell. I was drumming for Fred Willard. I told Michael, "I'm afraid that I might become just another drummer who blows up."
He replies, "Don't worry. That only happens if you have a contract."
Edit: I should have added that Michael played a few songs on his acoustic guitar for the show. He's a solid writer and performer.
