Speaker/Cabinet wiring advice needed

I just ordered an MT15 and I’m beyond excited to receive it. I also got the 1x12 cab to go along with it.

I have a 2x10 cabinet in my practice studio that I would like to use so I can leave the 1x12 cab at home.

Here’s my confusion; my 2x10 cab has two 8ohm speakers which I have wired in series, so this total cabinet load equals 16ohms. Can I just plug this cabinet into the 16 ohm output of the amp, or is the 8ohm output referring to individual speaker impedance?
