McCartys are cool guitars, and you found a nice one! Whatever it is, scale length/ looks/hardware, there is something about them that feels immediately comfortable and familiar. I don’t think you can go wrong with adding one to your stable, it’s such a solid instrument. Congrats!

That is a beauty my friend! The McCarty is what got me on the PRS train many years ago and I would say it is still my overall favourite guitar!

My 2015 McCarty is definitely a "modern spec" one with full power 58/15's, locking tuners and black PRS self lubricating nut. My 2022 Robben Ford, with some slight differences, is a "vintage spec" McCarty. Both are absolutely amazing!!

I will say that while I LOVE the phase 3 tuners and the convenience of locking tuners in general, the new vintage tuners PRS is using are just as accurate. Much better than the old vintage kluson style ones that were on my original singlecut and old McCarty.
