There's a local '03 HB II in AP that has a Crackwood neck(so I thought). It has Brazilian over 'Hog for $6k.

How does this combo compare to full rosewood?

I have an ‘03 HBII (mahog) and a 2013 HBII with braz over irw neck.

Weight wise I think the irw necked one is only slightly heavier and it is not neck heavy at all. Nothing can beat the feel of crackwood.

I remember back in the early 2000’s Paul said they would never do a rosewood necked HB because it would be neck diving all the time. It was all lies. now look at the options we have.

I’ve also got the 594 HBII with braz over IRW (yeah I have an hollowbody problem).
