I've stalked that faded Aqua violet SC a few times now...

This also explains why I don't have as many blue guitars in my collection as I should!

Snap! I have one of those 'slightly faded' Royal Blue guitars they used to make... If the picture works I'll post some other - it's my first picture post so who knows what'll happen

Finally this thread is getting good. That's the best looking blue guitar I've ever seen. I'll even go so far as to give it a Bangin'!

Looking inside the control cavity the top was once bluer than the case lining and the back and neck dark blue. Finish mega sunk in to the mahogany - makes it look almost wet. Yellow wires unusual but I've seen a few others the same.

That beast looks stunning! There's a hot one on Reverb that looks like this. I'd hop all over it if it wasn't in Europe. That whole wood import thing.

As if I'd tell porkies! The bridge pickup surround has a bit more blue under it than the neck surround but overall the whole guitar looks like it's mucky Vintage Yellow with a dark back. Makes me wonder about the chemistry involved - just where did all the blue go? Says Royal Blue next to the serial number so no question about how it was stained when made. I think most of the early stains were prone to fade to some extent, blue probably the most.

(Porkies = short for pork pies = lies should anyone needs a Cockney rhyming slang translation).

For some reason I can't see any of the photos. I really want to see the guitar.

Is Blue Green more blue or more green? My eyes are so broken from staring, I can't tell anymore.
