S2 Vela String Gauge Questions

i received my Vela with 10-46 strings. I changed them to 9-42. The action seems a little higher since going with the lighter gauge strings. I've played for years but do not know much about how string gauge affects set up. Could the change have affected the action? Intonation is still good.

Yeah, it could. Sounds like you just need a little truss rod TLC. Not hard, but you need to remember two words - just go slow. You'll probably need less than a quarter turn. Do a search on "truss rod adjustment" - I never remember which way to turn the truss rod, so I always have to look it up. FWIW, it's the same thing w/intonation - I always have to look up which way to move the saddle.

Would lowering the brides saddles take the action down significantly? Is this easily done?
