wait, you just bought your Silver Sky SE and you want to change the pickups? Why, what's wrong with the SE pickups?

Nothing. They're fantastic
should be easy to do. The body is carved wider for the pickups, unlike the core versions. SE pickups look like common fender shape. Far different than the cores which are super hard to replace...not that I'm suggesting they should be. Count me as a fan of them
I can confirm standard fender pickups swap in fine on the SE. My bridge pickup had some wiring issue (loss of volume/hissing/humming) so I yanked the lot. This would not be possible on the core Silver Sky because the routing is thin for the narrow/oval stock pickups. The SE pickups are shaped like regular single coils.
