NOD - New Ornament Day!

I asked for a bunch of possible PRS-related items for Christmas, including this:

I finally have my McCarty SC594!

Doesn't stay in tune all that well...



I also got a gold-paisley strap and a 12th fret hoodie. Yay for me!

Anyway, last year I picked up a Vela ornament in March or so - on clearance at the PRS Store, I was buying something else anyway, so what the heck, added it to the cart.

When it arrived I told my wife "finally bought a Vela!", figuring it was probably the only way I was going to get one - the model was mildly interesting, but hadn't sparked total GAS. Then less than a month later the RL SH Velas (and CE24s) were announced, and I snagged one!

So, my evil plan is now: Get ornament. Wait. Get related actual instrument two months later.

I therefore expect to have a McCarty SC594, perhaps semi-hollow, by March. Heck, maybe I'll dawdle, and wait for Experience PRS 2018 in June!

C'mon PRS, release an 8-string CU24-based ornament next year!

I need to let the GAS funds recover, and my real plan is indeed to wait until Experience in June. A SC594 from the dealer's floor is one strong possibility...
