After a 6 1/2 month wait, I finally have an SC594. Delivered on my birthday to boot.

As soon as I saw that Brian's Guitars was doing a wood library run on the SC594, I placed an order for the Black Gold flame with rosewood neck.

Looking at the tops Brian had picked, #2 really stood out to me, but I ordered the color that I wanted and decided to take my chances with the top that was selected. All 5 flame tops were nice and I would be happy with any of them.
#2 had a wider flame and a bit more character to it.

I got the call on Tuesday that my SC594 was in and Brian was going to send me some photos.

Most of you have probably seen these posted on Brain's wood library thread already, but here they are again.

This thing is AMAZING!

Tone report to follow,
for now enjoy the eye candy.

Nice!!! How's she sound??? Gonna make your DC obsolete??

I haven't had a lot of play time yet,
More later
The 5909 screams, pinch harmonics come almost naturally

The SC has more grunt in the low mids than the DC.

Is the DC Obsolete?
No way, that guitar has become a part of me.
But I will be spending some quality time with this one :)

Nice! Glad to hear. I wouldn't say obsolete either. But, I might not three anymore :)

Enjoy the hell outta that thing!

Some quick observations between the SC and DC.

Obviously the balance between the pickups are different since the SC has a 59/09 in the bridge.
On the one hand, some of what I like in the middle positions on the DC I don't get with the SC. On the other, I like the full individual pickup positions on SC more.
I like the split tones on the DC more than the SC. Conversely, I like the full hum bucker tone on the SC more than the DC.

The DC is vintage classic rock all the way and the SC has more of a heavier vibe both literally and figuratively.
probably has a lot to do with the pickups.

The SC weighs more than the DC
Even though they have the same neck carve, the SC neck feels fatter to me.

Great description of the two and the similarities and differences!
