New strap day (if that is a thing). I had an Ernie Ball strap that looked great with this guitar, but the material caused a lot of friction against the side of my neck. 3-hour rehearsals, or an hour and a half to two hour gig, and that could become a problem. So, I went all Fanboy and purchased a suede PRS strap. Feels spectacular. However, they must know how big of a pain in the butt those huge strap buttons are, because there are some pretty lengthy slits coming up from the inserts [which is making me a bit nervous]. Figured I'd throw at least a couple of those rubberized strap locks on it just to be on the safe side.

Nice choice, congrats.

Get a set of Schaller strap locks. You’ll thank me for the piece of mind.
I have somehow, with those big a$$ strap buttons, NEVER even come close to having it pop loose. Takes like twenty minutes just to get the strap ON.....lol. I generally put it on, and then LEAVE it on. Even in the case. I have even unscrewed a button before, slipped the strap on the back side of it, and screwed it back into the body of the guitar. So I have never even thought about strap locks on a PRS......Not with any of the normal Levy's or EB's kind of straps. This one is obviously set up to be tolerant of those huge buttons. So I just added the rubber.

Lovely strap!
Agree with others regarding the Schallers though. Love the ability to swap my fav straps to my guitar of choice on the fly.
That said, you are setup well, congrats!
Agreed. And Those things are durable. Still have my first set of schallers that are seemingly made in "western Germany", so at least made in 89 or before. A set I bought in 99 in high school btw.

I agree on the strap locks. However, I like the old style Schaller locks so I buy the ones from Fender since they are exactly the same as the old ones. I am not a fan of the integrated screw on the button piece on the new ones. I like to be able to reuse the long PRS screw. I have actually purchased stainless steel screws the same size that PRS uses and have used them on my other guitars. They hold much better since they are longer.
