Except they don't pay you millions per year to model them. Which, I have to say, is a darn shame! I think you should be well paid for your efforts.

As you probably know, I was a Calvin Klein underwear model in my younger days, but they didn't pay as well.

"You were never a Calvin Klein underwear model."

"I could have been."

"Are you kidding me?"

"Hey, I was that guy who could have been paid to wear underwear."

I still quote from the first two minutes of this routine. Some NSFW language later in the bit.

Well Les, as usual you are correct. They didn’t pay me millions for those photos.

And, I’m sorry that they didn’t pay you millions, as well.

I think we both screwed up, given our obvious gifts...

I guess at this point, my bigger concern is the realization of what I, or perhaps we, are, for giving away what we could have charged millions of dollars for... There is a name for it, but it escapes me at the moment...

I'm sorry if I sound like I dick but I don't get why would you need a schematic if you have an amp on front of you. How difficult is to trace an tube amplifier and drawing your own?

Everybody needs a kayak! Where is Slovenia? I need to tell you what kind of kayak to get.

For Ljubljana? Get a bicycle or skates. It's the only city I've ever seen that gives as many lanes to people on two(-ish) wheels as they do to cars.

Slovenia is west of Northern Italy and south of Austria. I visited on a business trip several years ago. Going there, I knew it was a piece of the old Yugoslavia and that the Slovenians gave neckties to the world. My expectations were not high... And I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!

You have a point, although it would be the first time in my life and this is a PCB build, not the typical "all layed out on the inside" build like I've seen in larger tube amps. I'm no electrician and this would be the first time for me. How hard is that, is it doable without dismantling the amp? Asking because now it still plays 95% of time, I don't wanna come to 0% ;)

He may not know where Slovenia is but he has certainly heard of Schnapps. I had a friend who used to tie bottle around fruit blossoms in the spring, let the fruit grow and then fill the bottle with schnapps and put it in the freezer, describing it as "It's like an angel tinkled on your tongue".

We are also doing the bottle on the tree thing ... tastes gooood ;) usually it is a Williams pear inside ... although never heard of putting it in the freezer.

You almost got it right, it seems you also had some Schanpps while visiting ;) we are east of (northern) Italy, south of Austria, north of Croatia (where the neckties originate) and west of Hungary. And yes, we were the northern most republic of the once upon a time greatest country in the world Yugoslavia. And I get it how your expectations were not high as we were considered a socialist/communist country, but this place was heaven on earth ... before we got telenovelas, McDonalds and private health care institutions ;)

But it is still a fantastic place to live in.

Since its your first time and with power capacitors storing lethal charge I say give it to the pro or it as well be your last time ;) it's not a game, mate. 9/10 time risk is not worth it. I hope its just the tube issue thought.

Good luck

Now I'll start swapping tubes like crazy!!! :))) I know it is not a joke poking in tube amps. Unfortunately there aren't many electronic geniuses like Mr.Carlson in my country, at least as far as I know. Will try to find someone who knows a thing or two about diagnosing and repairing tube amps and see where it gets me cause Beth from PRS sent me a link to PRS Europe which in fact is PRS England and again I would have to do a lot of bike riding and kayak rowing, just to get the amp there, bummer. Now I also know that cheaper amps based on PCB are probably a bit harder to repair as compared to bigger tube amps that basically seem to have a cleaner and easier to work on layout, a lot of space between components and chassis ... well at least I am learning something.

I’m an electrician and I wouldn’t be f’ing around in there either.:)

Oh geez, I just found it! I know that place!!! Don't know why it didn't register sooner. So...

This is your president, right?

I'm sure you will get a support in no time. It only took PRS Europe a 9 months to issue new tags with correct serial number from the time I requested one ;)

Well, I spelled "east" wrong... as for mixing up Slovenia and Croatia (been there too, briefly), I'm just embarrassed. No schnapps while I was there, just some pivo. I was working!
