Cookie monster. Love it!!!!! Perfect description. I'm of the same mind.....musically, they're fantastic (and as a bass player who dabbles in guitar, I'm particularly appreciative of heaviness like that) but any band loses me at the growl.

While the vocals are not my style, I don't have the vocal skill to pull off the deep growl and would like to know the secret. It seems painful and damaging to your voice when in the future you might want to sing naturally.
