Color fading in current models

I just recently joined the club with a dream Custom 24 in Purple Iris. I noticed that a lot of the older purple tops from back when I first started GAS'ing for a PRS have faded to a reddish brown.

Is this still an issue on newer models? I'd prefer to leave it out on a nitro safe stand so it's always readily available but I really want to protect that color.

Takes some time.

Ask again in 10 or 20 years.

This is a '95 I think. Took 27 years for Purple to change to Root Beer.

I think they use some kind of vegetable-based stain on the blue ones and the purple ones.

Daylight eventually causes it to lean into the greenish side of the spectrum.

I bought a blue one about 4 years ago and it is now a spectacular teal.

The Purple ones I've seen that have changed color, became kind of a Root Beer color.

I like it!

Yeah, my purple CU24 Artist turned from purple mist to almost Charcoal looking, more browns though,
