Forgive me if this has already been covered but I bought an Archon 50 from a major online retailer marked "blem" and it wasn't really sounding right. Took the back screen off and found it had 6l6gcm-str tubes instead of the 6CA7s and it was out of bias at 40mv. Figuring someone just swapped the tubes out, didn't like it and sent it back. Will 6L6GCM-STR tubes damage the amp or is there a known mod that needs to be done? Thanks in advance!

I did a little googling, and those tubes will work just fine.The prs website for the Archon says that 6L6GC tubes are fine for it. Actually, as far as modern production tubes go, they should be fantastic tubes.
As DTR said above, you should definitely bias them, if you haven't already.
