Adding dip switches to CE 24??

Has anyone done this for coil splitting? Or rather, what’s the best solution for being able to split the coils individually instead of both at once? Wanting to know how I can mod my CE to split coils individually which would give me a couple more tone options.

I had mini toggles added to my Custom 22 to achieve this.

Aside from changing out the volume pot for a push/pull, and moving, say, the neck pickup wiring over, you’d still have run wire back over to the tone pot itself, right? Or I guess you could bypass the tone pot for the neck pickup. That might be interesting, and easy to undo if I didn’t like it.

I think all you'd need to do is just move the split wire(s) to the new switch on the pot. The tone is fed through the volume if I understand the wiring correctly.

Keep the resistors as they make the split sounds better. I had these same pickups in an S2 Sc, which has 2x tone 2x volume, same value resistors

This guy, Joar, has an option that you may be interested in, no drilling involved, using a 5 way switch and push / pull

I would just replace the stock volume pot with a full-size CTS push/pull pot. Transplant the neck pickup split wiring to that switch and wire everything else just like original.

I have a pair of those pots in my S2 and they are easily my favorite push/pull pots.
