2009 PRS Blue Sierra amp problems

No news yet this week, It was supposed to be on the bench last Monday.
Spoke with PRS service today my Blue Sierra amp has been there for 1 week, they said it may be week after next before it may be done,He did say it's with there best tech and want to make sure it is Tip top and working right so I don't mind how long it takes it needs to be right.I do have many gigs right now as I am a working player but I have a nice 5E3 Clone amp I built that sounds really good,I use it with a Brown box set at 114 volts and that really helps the amp tone and feel is so much better and my Vintage old stock tubes run cool. I will update on Blue Sierra amp repair as It is repaired

Thank you Dmathews, Got an email today and my amp is done ,They suspected trouble in fan circuit and noticed a heater wire had disconnected and was hitting the chassis and blowing fuse so repaired that and a bit more parts were replaced in fan circuit and Tech says amp sounds and performs great now. Can't wait to get it home !

I bought this amp As it needed this repair from a good freind that recently passed away so I have never heard it .So It is a new amp entirely to me,I have always played Vintage Fenders and vinatge style Marshall's so I know I am in for a treat.

Great news Bluze.
My Blue Sierra amp came back from PRS service 2nd return was blowing filament fuses and mains fuse, the tech at PRS service found a bare spot in a heater wire that was rubbing chassis ,repaired that and other work , I turned power on within 3 seconds it blew both filament fuses ! PRS has sent another shipping label for now 3rd return, hopefully they can get this amp sorted.I am very frustrated ,Needed this amp for upcoming gigs

I can certainly understand the frustration. Fear not, PRS will take care of you. This situation is quite the oddball thing.

Shipped my Blue Sierra amp back for repairs this is the 3rd time .keeps coming back and Filiment fuses burning up at power up while in Stand by? Tested Speaker all good Reverb tank is fine and fan tests good.Dont know what is missed.I really hope PRS can get it fixed and sounding as it should . So frustrating
