Nice comparison. Another pickup to consider in this category is the El Rayo by Lollar. I looked at all these kinds of pickups and ended up getting the El Rayo's for my PRS Standard-22 with stop tailpiece which came with Dragon II's. They sound fantastic, like very big singlecoils in humbucker...

Yeah, Fishman makes a killer sounding acoustic sim pedal, the Aura Spectrum. I bet the piezo output from the Hollowbody would sound great blended with one of the models on the Aura Spectrum.

I'm just saying that in addition to the Piezo sounds, wouldn't be great to access the Acoustasonic sounds in a Hollowbody? I understand that the Acoustasonic guitars are built to be more like an acoustic guitar. However, my guess is that if a Hollowbody had the software built in it would sound...

I mean like the Fender Acoustasonics. Same market as the Hollowbody Piezo models, but with much better acoustic sounds.

I think we will see special runs of the thinline with nice upgrades and colors. How about a thinline trem with 57/08s and nice inlays? Yes!

My guess is that Paul would love to integrate the Acoustasonic tech into one of his acoustic or electric guitars. It would be a logical evolution of the Hollowbody series.

Had some time to kill waiting for some food this evening so I went to the local GC. Had them pull this S2 McCarty 594 off the wall for me. Nice quality, great workmanship. Then I saw the warped control cavity cover. Not a huge deal, but not great either. Another reason why it would be nice...

Yeah, the bevel I was referring to is the bevel inside the control cavity, which accounts for the backplate sticking out. I've edited my post to make this clear.
