Damn, I was hoping for an S2 Custom 22 with fixed bridge (ideally with Satin Charcoal finish, that‘s just beautiful.). And why do most S2 models not have the bird inlays? Well, perhaps next year then.

Hey, can someone tell me what size the covered #7 bridge and neck pickup have?

I think I have identified the problem. First I flipped the neck pickup, but the G string still sounded bad. Okay, this at least showed that the pickup is perfectly fine. But then I put a small piece of metal on the bridge right between string and saddle - et voila! The buzz vanished. I guess...

Many thanks for your input! I found a couple of people on the internet that seem to have the same problem with their G string. Some of them were finally able to fix it by exchanging the plain G string with a wound one. I just ordered one - wish me luck! If that doesn't help I will definitely try...

I wish I could post a small sound clip here to demonstrate the issue. Yes, I guess a defective neck pickup seems likely - but wouldn't a defective pickup affect all strings and not just one string?

Can someone tell me what exactly the difference is between the stud wells that John Mann delivers with the SE/S2 and the US Core bridges? The threads seem to be the same... do the wells have a different size?

I just got my SE back from the luthier. The Schaller Signum wasn't an easy install (see my post above) but it was worth the wait. First impression: What a beauty! And playing with it for a couple of minutes I immediately heard a much increased sustain. I love it!

I finally bought the Schaller Signum and and took my PRS SE to the luthier for professional installation and setup. Yesterday - after four weeks - I called him and asked when I can pick up my guitar. Well, he will need another week. Because of the known metric/US studs problem he had to order...

I've done some more research and finally decided to go with the Schaller Signum. Just ordered the bridge at the music store and will get it installed and adjusted by their luthier. Delivery time is 1-2 weeks. Will post some photos when everything is done.
