Does anyone have any experience going from a solid state to a tube amp with their custom 24? Any improvement and if so is it big?

Thanks for the opinions. Looks like I'll just put the $200 toward an SE245. There may be a time when I want to mess around with the actives, and I'd have to butcher the old guitar with new pups, pots, caps, jack and a hole to ground the bridge. Another PRS on my shopping list....

I have an ESP LTD EC1000 Les Paul style with EMG's and after getting an SE Custom 24, the actives sound really bad in comparison...no harmonics, no depth, harsh. Was thinking of redoing the old guitar with Dimarzio passives, but the total would be around $200. Do you think it's worth upgrading...

I think it's just guitar center/musicians friend that order them without the bags. On every other site it always specifies "with gig bag" but not on their sites. This one was on back order for two months from them, yet other places had them, so they probably just pack theirs without. Just...

Spoke with Musician's Friend and they do not include it with this model, so be aware if you are looking for one with the gig bag. On another note, the warranty card says to affix the hang tag from the guitar, mine just had one to receive some free learning materials. Do SE's have a hang tag??

It was musicians friend but I believe they are the same company. Strange considering everyone is selling it for the same price, yet everyone else mentions that it is included.

Just got my Custom 24 SE and there was no gig bag. Definitely factory sealed, so I wonder if they still include them? Has anyone gotten theirs recently that can confirm either way?

I'll wind up having to pay more, but I guess if that's the only way to get it then it's not so bad. I wondered if maybe they were ramping up a batch in a new color that they haven't announced yet and put those on hold.

I ordered an SE Custom 24 in tobacco from MF in early November and it keeps showing that it will ship next week, then next week comes and it says the next week. Now it is pushed up to December 31st! I see other places have it, so is this MF or is there some kind of shortage I'm not aware of...

I'm not sure what PRS is up to. I've been waiting to buy a custom 24 SE from Musicians friend for at least two months but everytime I call they have no idea when or if they are getting them, yet Sweetwater has plenty. Typical these days.

I sure like that UK purple one. I'm going to look into how much it would cost to ship here or if they can do it. If PRS is listening, at least offer the purple in the US!
