I'm seeing ZM sig models with quilt tops for sale in the UK. They are Tampas Green, Sapphire, or vintage sunburst. Why do these seem to only be available from Europe? I would pay more to get the quilt top but the shipping to get one to the US is huge. Plus, I would really rather buy from a US dealer.

The ZM is standard issue Trampas Green "normal" stripey figuring. Everything else has been a limited run special order by the retailer, including the spalted maples, etc, and those quilts in the UK. I think that PRS allows the retailers to claim their special run as their own, in their particular market (US, UK, etc) so everyone has to do a variation. I am surprised no one in the US has done a quilted run, though.
