I recently got my first PRS (the new ZM model) and other than the really chunky neck I only have one problem: far too much treble is lost too quickly when I roll off the volume. I use the volume pot a lot and play a lot of middle position so having the bridge pickup go dark at 8 or 9 isn't working for me.
I understand that many PRS SE guitars come with a .180pF cap on the volume pots. I have read that this can help with the darkness but can cause issues when lowering volume to reduce gain in something like a Fuzz Face. Is this accurate? What cap is recommended that will retain more of the highs to around 6 or 7? The .180pF?
Thanks in advance.
PS: the tuner on my A string feels really stiff. Do I need to oil it or is this a factory/warranty issue?
