I'm of two minds with this one. Usually I fail miserably at bonding with fixed bridges, despite the fact the same guitar sounds great in someone else's hands. On the other hand, the all mahogany body and single coil neck pickup sound really appeals to me. To be fair this is more of a tele type bride that the usual PRS fixed bridges and might be worth taking a chance on .
My other option perhaps is to get a DGT or Santana standard and have the Sergio Deblanc neck mod performed although in some ways that is just too cool for me and I kind of prefer stock looks.
The Vela tops my most wanted list right now and has since it was released... but I haven't run across any in the wild yet, and I'm very hesitant to buy a guitar without playing it first... Maybe if The Guitar Shop gets one in McCarty Burst this year...
