Would this capacitor fit my guitar?

I believe so, yeah. That looks like a .033 uF. You could replace it with the orange drop .022 uF. The difference will be rather subtle, not a huge change--and only noticeable while turning the tone knob, obviously.

Will it fit? Yes. Will you notice a difference? No. Will it give your guitar instant "mojo"? Absolutely! ;)

As an electrical engineer, I love the selling point they make: "...makes the 715P and 716P series ideal for high current, high pulse applications". A guitar puts out current in the range of micro to milliamps - not exactly high current.

So, what is your final opinion - to change it, or not?!

You'll notice a difference going from .033 to .022. They are different values. Cheap and easy to swap. Give it a go.

May I ask why you’re wanting to change the tone cap? Is something not working, or are just wanting to try a different value to see the effect of it? It will definitely work, but I doubt you’ll notice a major difference. Might want to record some before and after clips, with tone full open, and then gradually turned down, to realistically compare the two.

Not that Mojotone doesn't engage in marketing BS, but that link is from the amp parts section, so the description makes more sense.

600V is completely unnecessary for a guitar, so the 100V is a much better option: https://www.mojotone.com/Sprague-Orange-Drop-Capacitor

The caps they use on S2 guitars are great, though. No need to change unless it's faulty or you want to try a different value.

Good point! I didn’t see that this was listed in the amp section. What you linked to is more appropriate for guitar use.

Yes it will fit. The real question is do you use your tone control because that's the only way you will hear a difference and it will be a small change
