Could they do a light blue finish on a burl top? Would it show the burl through the finish?

I can't see why not, but the final tone / hue of the color will depend on the underlying color of the wood; so I think you would need to have a burl with some lighter sections else the color could be a little bit muddy.

Very true. If the burl is MEGA white, you'll get more of a light blue. If it's yellow, you'll get green.

I almost bought a burl in green and the figuring was just as great as the blue one JMintzer posted.

So I would easily say that you can get what you are thinking of!

Nik Huber has made a couple too... definitely can be done. Talk to your dealer or PRS though, don't take our word for it!
