Just put a set of Wolftone p90 mean, and meaner p90’s on my 99 mccarty, any input would be appreciatted, the orig seymours sounded muddy?

Yes. The wolfetones are a lot clearer/brighter than the original SDs

Have them in a McSoapy korina, love them.

Good point, the newer McSoapies use the antiquities. Those are very fine PUs. The older had a very high output bridge and more vintage neck PUs

The original soaps from my 99 McCarty are neck 8.3 K and the bridge at 12.4K, the Wolftones are neck 8.2k and bridge at 9.21. Seems like the SD bridge is almost a humbucker, def by the looks of the SD bridge there is a a big ass ceramic magnet. The Wolfes do sound cleaner and mor balanced for sure. Why did PRS go with such a high output bridge PU one wonders.

Look forward to hearing about it. I will likely replace the SDs in my 09.
