With or Without?

I am currently using a clear removable pickguard. I ordered a fixed black/white one to see what it looks like. It would need a little massaging for the proper shape but what do you think? With or without?

Yes I do need a pickgaurd. The top is already lightly scratched under the clear removable one I use right now. I have kinda retroed the guitar. It has off white tuner buttons and you can't see them in the pics but it also has nickle colored knob pointers. It's funny but to me it looks better in real life with the black guard than it does in the pics.

I've got a P90 gibby LP reissue that came with a similar plate. took that thing off quick...

The LP has a kinda hung on guard. It's not shaped to blend with the top shape. I don't I care for this style either.

OK. I massaged the guard a little for a contour to the deck shape and heated and curved it to fit the curve of the top. Better?

I rounded the edge under the strings to closer match the body curve. I appreciate all the input. I am actually leaning towards screwing it on. I will wait a few days though to let it settle in before I make a final decision.

I even like Les Pauls without the pickgurad. If you really need one I would go with a transparent adhesive one...
