I have a 2018 Hollowbody II Piezo with 58/15 pickups (not LT). I plan to swap in a set of 57/08s as I’m not thrilled with the 58/15 set. The existing pickups have 2 conductors with the hot soldered to the switch and the braid as ground with a wire from the switch soldered to the braid. The new 57/08s are 4 conductor with black, red, white and braid.

I know that to have the new pickups work in phase with the piezo I need to wire them backwards (swap hot and ground).

Can someone guide me what to do with each of the wires, i.e. which gets taped off and which gets wired where?

Thanks in advance.

Black and white are positive and negative, connect them whichever way is in phase with the piezo. (And with each other. If the pickups came out of a Custom, they'll be reverse polarity from each other.

Red is the tap, so if you're not using it, just tape it off.

Bare is shield and goes to ground always.
