Wiring diagram for the Core or 2024 McCarty 594 (or a picture of the electronics chamber)? Need pickup install help

I'm upgrading my 2021 S2 McCarty 594 to Core specs, completely gutting the electronics... installing a new toggle switch, wiring, a pair of USA-made 58/15 LT pickups, pots, and output jack, etc. I purchased the "Drop-in" harness for the 594 from PRS after being assured it was "Core quality." But, I've run into a problem.

I'm having a terrible time getting any correct information from PRS about how to complete the wiring. The 594 Core/S2 wiring diagram PDF on their support site does not match the drop-in harness they sent me. Nor does it match the way my S2 594 is currently wired. The support person with whom I'm dealing as been good about responding to my email (almost always within 24 hours), but the information they provide always has some detail that doesn't make sense.

The problem is the resistors on the P/P pots are soldered to a different slot than in the diagram. I need to know to which slot on the P/P pots I solder the white/green wires (neck/bass) and the red/black wires (bridge/treble). PRS's PDF shows them soldered to the outside-middle slots. The "Drop-in" assembly I purchased has the resistors soldered to those slots. Do they go to the same slot as the resistors or to the top or bottom slots?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Either way is fine for the resistors. In the left example, the tap wires would go to the lug closest to the pot. So, the reverse of what's in the right diagram. Same result either way.

Thanks! I figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

Pre 2024 and after 2024. The dates seem to be for the hollow body. This should at least get you what you are looking for.
Thanks for the links, but those are the diagrams that caused the confusion in the first place. The Pre 2024 shows white wires going into both pots. The 58/15 pickups I bought NOS have both white and green (Bass) and red and black (treble). There is no second wire on the Pre 2024 diagram.

The post 2024 shows the correct wires, but has the resistors on the P/P pots going to a different tab. I think garrett has it correct. The two wires from each pickup go to the outside tabs closest to the pots. I hope to get confirmation from PRS today. The customer service rep said she was going to get an engineer involved.

You can test this with a multimeter. It shouldn't matter if you wire them either way. When you pull the switch up, it is connecting those top two rows. If I remember right, my resistors are soldered to the top lug and the wires to the second like the current configuration diagram. It has been a while since I took the cover off of it.

Go to their web page and look under support tab. All core wiring is there, you just have to pick the guitar you want to mimic.

This will take a little detective work on your part if the wires on the diagram you use don't match the wires on the pickups you have which could very easily happen.

For instance, if you want to mimic original McCarty wiring but your pickups have white, red and black wires then you will have to look up a cu 22 or cu24 with 3 way toggle to understand what the colored wires are for because original McCarty pickups have big thick hot wire and small white coil tap wire. It will work just fine but you have to do a little leg work on your end.

I've used this several times so I hope you get things sorted out.

Thanks, JasonE. That's the conclusion I came to while trying to figure it out in my mind.

gush, it's the McCarty 594 I'm trying to mimic. The confusion arose because the Drop-in pots harness I purchased from PRS was wired differently than the diagram on their support page. JasonE confirmed that the position of the wires and resistors on the P/P pots are interchangeable. That clears up my confusion.

Thanks all!
