Wings or no Wings

I've seen several new PRSi where it looks like the headstocks are solid now, no wings! Can this be, or are they just getting very good at matching grains????

They have been using veneers on the headstocks for a while now. Maybe that’s what you are seeing? I think they are still using the wings on the main construction of the headstock.

I agree. They are still there, you'll have to look at the back of the headstock to spot them because of the veneers.

PRS does a great job with these little details in general. You've also got a dark burst finish on there, which will help mask the seams.

They’re there, you can see where the flame from the center stops just below the tuning gear.
