No one here is bidding on the winged tuners on ebay, right?:flute:

Don't want to get into a bidding war with another forum member...:shakehands:

What, there are winged tuners on fleaBay??!! :0
Thats ok, I already have mine. Good luck with the buy?

I've seen these, but other than period correctness, what's the allure? Just curious. I've never owned or used them.

Don't the Phase III tuners do the same thing? I get the cool, scarcity factor. That's cool.

Yeah, these just do it differently... The phase II and III tuners have a better gear ratio, are smoother, and lighter, but I don't really dig the locking mechanism as much. It's just a preference thing.

My core stable has either wings or phase IIIs...love the wings, changes are quicker, but the new ones are so much easier to tune.

Gotta go with the wings for the coolness factor though...

My only issue with the winged tuners is that I've been limited on the size of the low E string on one guitar. That CU24 works just fine with 9's so I live with it.

I certainly appreciate the early winged tuners. They were a great development when they first appeared. But now I'm firmly ensconced in the Phase 2 & 3s. I find them even easier with string changes, and they work better. For me, anyway.

The one pair of Phase II's I had, well I couldn't get them off fast enough! I can understand people having issues with the wing locks, and that the gear mech. for the II's are superior and all.. but I honestly had trouble changing strings with 'em and still needed tools (even if it was just a small coin or something).

Love the winged tuners. Classic PRS look.

I have accumulated several sets over the years.
