Will we ever see an SE Semi-hollow Special (3pu)?

Hi, new to the forum. Just wondering if we will ever see an affordable SE or even S2 version of the incredible Semi-hollow Special 22 with the three pickup config. Thanks for indulging my probably ridiculous question.

I haven’t heard anything, but it seems nothing is off the table when it comes to SE and S2 lately, in terms of what they can do. It’s what they WILL do that’s the question!

That being said, starting to wonder if we’ll ever see any of the core models, either… I’m hoping to buy one in the next 6 months or so, and can’t find them anywhere.

The S2 Studio had the 3 pickup config, but wasn't semi-hollow...still, with 2 of the Type-D singles it should sound incredible. There are a few available on Reverb.

You know, if you were feeling gutsy, you could get one of the current SE Custom 22 semi hollows, and route the top out for a single coil size humbucker.

This would be a cool experiment. The price of se semi hollows has gone up a bit. I have been looking at them. I don’t think there was ever a hard tail wide/thin model. I’d be pretty interested in one of those.

There might have been one right when they reintroduced that model back to the SE line 4-5 years ago. IIRC there was a hard tail for one year, neck profile I’m not sure.

I did thi k about it, but not for very long.
I've built certain guitars before, but I wouldn't have the guts to do that...

Try the S2 studio, it’s a helluva guitar, one of the most underrated PRS makes.

I can't say enough good things about my Vela semi-hollow. I like it so much I keep looking at the special to add too.

It’s almost embarrassing how good this guitar sounds for the price!

Hate the neck on it though, W/T just ain’t my thang anymore. PM me if you wanna know more (and like, totally don’t wanna buy it because that’s improper behavior here).
