will dc3 accept replacement pick up?

Just wanted to know since the dc3 has proprietary pick ups , are they the same size and fit as any other single ?

No, not really, but there's nothing stopping you from cutting a new pick guard to accept whatever pickup/s you want...

Oh so the screws that adjust the height on the dc3 won't just screw out and allow a new pickup to sit in that oversized hole?

Maybe but it wouldn't look awesome. Check this photo out, it's a pickguard from a "normal" single coil under a DC3 pick guard. You can see the width is the same, but the length is different. Quite possible a normal SC and cover would fit in there, but you'd be screwing into the body and not sure how the height adjustment would work.
