How often do you guys see DC245 and SC245 models with thin neck profiles? The only one I ever had was one of the 2008 Jet White series SC245s.
I'd love to have a DC245 with a thin neck profile. I don't really want to be forced to go to Private Stock.

Yeah I don't know what the exact proportions are, but I would guess that probably 90% of the time, a 22 fret (especially a singlecut style) PRS will have a wide/fat or pattern. A 24 fret guitar will have a wide/thin pattern thin.

I don't what would make more sense. Seeking and finding that special guitar that fits your needs and color that was built with a wide thin, or having a neck reshaped. Ask the PTC, and weigh your options.

I get were you're coming from. I bought an sc245 when they first came out. I loved the tone, but hated the neck. It was the biggest wide fat neck I had ever played(half a base ball bat big). I ended up selling it because it always seemed weird to have a short scale with such a big neck. When my dealer got in one of the 100 run jet white sc45's by accident (mine is one of one of 100 ,another interesting story in itself) I gave it a try. Wow what difference. Much easier to play. I felt I could fly up and down the neck. The guitar is also almost two pounds lighter. I still have it. If you like every thing else about your guitar, then give PTC a call. You might love it even more Good luck.
