The only model that I could find that has a neck through model is the SE Torero model. Makes me wonder how this construction will sound on the CU24, or other models?

I mean that was a departure from their tried and true best sellers. Don’t mess with the cash cows

Do Basses count? Kingfishers and Kestrels are neck through.

I imagine they have tried it and found no real benefit and or the difficultly to finding PRS quality wood in those sizes is just to costly.

I had a Torero for a little bit and I honestly didn’t think it played any better than a normal SE CU24. Certainly didn’t play better than my Cores or CE

I'm to blame. Paul called me and asked if he should make another neck-through model, and I said no.

    So he decided not to.

    :p

IIRC in an interview Paul said once that he initially thought that for stability and tone the neck needed to go that far into the body.
After trial and error, he realized that it wasn't necessary to do that and the guitar was just as stable without.
