I'm wondering is there any reason that SE Custom 24 use Maple for neck wood, not Mahogany like the Core Custom 24?
Because of COST or TONE?
Does anybody know this secret?
I suspect there’s a cost savings there. I’m not a huge maple neck fan, so it’s a bit of a bummer. If you like hog necks, find an S2 Satin 24, it’s all the tone you’re looking for and almost as affordable (depending on where you are).
