The III's were an attempt at a lower frills version . The KL 33 is during this period , it may be bare bones in looks but delivers HUGE time in tone. Not a lot of MD's around , some don't like the battery and mid control ..

The MDs have the MVC, or Mastering Voice Control. Went over like a lead balloon.

Santana III is like your track car instead of your show off to your buddies and that one rich, snobby girl car. If you are of the same generation as me, it is the 240Z before it got fat round and pretty and became the 380Z.

Ok, it’s a core, but looks like a good working guitar. Ok, ima be quiet now…

All killer, no filler. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. My III is my least expensive core guitar. it’s an absolutely beautiful tortoise shell finish. Plays & sounds fantastic.
