I was wondering if PRS is still doing th PS acoustics, and if so, who is a good dealer to work with?
Not all of them are experienced with acoustic builds though.Depends on your location. Check the Authorized PRS Dealers section of this forum for some insight. There are numerous east coast places, some located more locally than others.
Jack has done them. Not all of them are experienced with acoustic builds though.
Jack got my PS acoustic build going - in fact, he and Paul R. Smith picked out the woods for me, I wasn't there. Jack is a luthier in addition to being a PRS dealer, has a great shop, knows his stuff to the nth degree.Call Jack Gretz at Northeast Music Center. I can't recommend him enough.
Yes. The reason I suggested checking the Authorized Dealers for insight. The more ornate decoration one might expect to also find its way to an acoustic because building an acoustic requires a lighter touch...Best wishes...Not all of them are experienced with acoustic builds though.
I contacted Jack after hearing great things about NE Music Center, but for some reason, he stopped responding to my emails. I'm unsure why I haven’t heard back.Jack got my PS acoustic build going - in fact, he and Paul R. Smith picked out the woods for me, I wasn't there. Also one of the great people in the business. He's been my only guitar dealer since 2001 or so. If there are issues, he's on it, 100%, fast. Gets things done.
Ping him again. He is usually very responsive. You can also call the store. He may have taken a vacation or had some time away.I contacted Jack after hearing great things about NE Music Center, but for some reason, he stopped responding to my emails. I'm unsure why I haven’t heard back.
