I was in Omaha today and came across 4 lovely PRS’. A 2004 Brazilian Edition 30/500, a CU24 2003/2007 Brazilian artist package in Violet, a 2003/2007 Singlecut Trem Artist and finally an older Cu22 with wing tuners.

Did those belong to anyone here? I love the 30/500 vintage yellow CU24 but they want waaaaaay too much for it. I currently have 349/500 in that series of CU24s.

Will post pics of the Yellow and Singlecut Trem later when I get off a plane.

Why we're you in Omaha?!?!?! I was certain that I am the only forum member here in Omaha!

btw, no it wasn't me.

No one on THIS forum would do that, because it's insanely stupid. Each one of those would easily be sold on Reverb, versus the bath you take on either selling to or trading into GC.

Usually dumps like that are widows or kids who inherit a parents stuff.

I was really hoping that it wasn’t anyone here.

I asked the guy “why do you want $XXXX for the Brazilian one?”

“Oh because it’s super rare, #30/500”

“I know, I have 349/500. They made them when..”

“Do you want to see it or not?”

Man I despise GC employees

Ex-wives....don't forget the ex-wives!

Luckily mine had no interest in any of my gear, other than the monetary value to be equilibrated in her favor by her attorney

I've heard those horror stories. I've never been married and don't suspect I ever will be based on those stories.

Been there. Still have the Cu24. I happily paid the declared value rather than sell the guitar.

Exactly why I refuse to go into GC. The last time is when I was looking for my first PRS. I was in that same GC here in Omaha and an employee walked by and I asked him where the PRS guitars were. Without slowing his stride a bit he pointed to the wall and said "Clear up to the top" and disappeared. Apparently he thought I just stopped in to find out where they stored them.
I walked out, drove the half an hour across the river to a local store that is a PRS dealer, Lidgett Music, I bought the Paul's in my profile picture.

Well, that and you think it’s a good idea to comment on your mate’s weight. :p

Noooooooo.... the point I was trying to make is that it's better to be honest versus not. :-) Besides, why get married? Variety is the spice of life. Just get a new one every so often without all the legal issues.

I was just looking at them on GC website. But when I clicked on the single cut trem it took me to another guitar. Were they in good shape? Pics?

Yeah they were in good shape. A little on the pricey side if you ask me. Based on Reverb you could get them cheaper and still the same condition.

I’ll try to get the pics of the yellow and the Singlecut I played up. The SC played really well!

There are folks who are happier single, and folks who are happier married. That’s not a bad thing!

I think the problems come when folks who are happier single somehow wind up married and don’t really like it.
