I have a McCarty MC58 w 57/08s and love it!

Now I'm on to PRS guitar #2 and the S2 Mira semi-hollow in sienna has drawn my attention.

My Mccarty currently hangs in my office so I can pull it down and play it unplugged when the mood strikes me. Thinking about moving my MC58 to the basement by my amp and hanging a Mira semi hollow (which might offer a bit more resonance unplugged) in my office. Not to mention it will offer a change of tonal flavor when I have time to plug it in and play.

Interested in hearing feedback on the Mira semihollow from those of you have or have had one.

I absolutely love the classic look of a Mira semi so feel free to drop some pictures in this thread to help fan my obsession.

I have a 2016 solidbody Mira... I dig semi-hollow, but the bite you get from the solidbody is great. Very SGish... But at the same time, just roll back on the tone knob and do light picking to get that softer semi-hollow vibe.

Biggest thing that prevented me from getting the semi-hollow was the awkward position of the f-hole on the bevel, and i dont like it being too light (because the solidbody is already light as it is).

Thanks for the replies guys!

Agreed on the "lightness" factor, although my Mccarty gives me the heft and bite when I need it. I'm looking for something that will offer a nice counterpoint to my current PRS and really like the look and sound of the Mira semi.

I haven't run across one at a guitar shop yet, but have my eyes peeled so I can spend a little time on one before I make a decision.
